For the love of COLOUR
This is blog post entry 01!
I was given the nickname Neonness by my friends because, well, you guessed it- I’m all about the colours (especially the bright ones). My wardrobe and work usually tell it all.
As a designer, I'm surrounded by colour all the time, whether it's in my work or in the things I enjoy doing. And I've noticed that color has a significant impact on my mood and overall well-being.
For me, colour is more than just a visual experience. It's a powerful tool that can influence how we feel and behave. When I'm feeling stressed or anxious, for example, I find that surrounding myself with calming colours like blue or green can help me feel more relaxed and centered. On the other hand, when I need a burst of energy and motivation, I might turn to brighter, more vibrant colours like yellow or orange.
Colour also plays a significant role in my work. When I'm designing, choosing the right colours can make all the difference in creating a compelling and effective final product. I spend a lot of time thinking about the message I want to convey with my work, and colour is a critical part of that message.
Daily, I constantly explore the ways in which colour impacts our lives and the importance of paying attention to the colours we surround ourselves with. Whether you're an artist, designer, or just someone who appreciates the beauty of colour, I’d love to hear how colour plays a role in your work and play.
Now that you've heard a bit about my relationship with colour, I'm curious to know about yours. What is your favorite part about colour? Do you have a favorite colour that always puts you in a good mood? Or maybe you have a favourite piece of artwork that makes excellent use of colour?
Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below. I always love learning about your experiences with colour. Who knows, your comment might just inspire a future blog post!
